Once you have made your selection and purchase, we will discuss and schedule a convenient delivery date for you. Before we process any furniture for delivery, Hurwitz Mintz professionals uncrate and prepare your furniture carefully. If for any reason you wish to change your pre-arranged date, contact our order department well in advance of the new date you wish to receive your furniture. Merchandise must be accepted for delivery within the time period stated in the terms and conditions section of your sales receipt in order to prevent storage charges.
If you live out of our delivery area, we will arrange a delivery to accomodate your needs and provide you with information about the method of shipment. You can purchase from us with confidence knowing that we have exported furniture and accessories around the world and are truly experienced in the art of preparing your merchandise for shipment.
If the merchandise you have selected is not in stock, you will be given it's estimated time of arrival to our warehouse. This schedule is based on availability of wood and fabrics, production and consumer demand for the product. Upon our receipt of the merchandise you have ordered, you will be contacted to arrange a delivery date.

Our local, daily deliveries are made Tuesday through Saturday. Please understand we cannot promise an exact time of day for your delivery. However, you may call our delivery department at (504) 378-1200 after 8:00 a.m. the morning of your delivery and we will be glad to give you a 3 hour window for your delivery. Occasionally, circumstances beyond our control will cause delays.

Note: Our delivery personnel cannot move or remove old furniture from its existing position, nor do they hang pictures or mirrors on your wall.

If you will not be at home, please call our delivery department well in advance to re-schedule. We begin our delivery preparation several days in advance and often pre-load the trucks the day before delivery. For your protection we will not leave your merchandise unless there is an authorized person (18 years of age or older) present to sign for its receipt.

If you desire, you may conveniently pick up your merchandise from our Distribution Center located directly behind our showroom. Hours for pickup are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday thru Saturday and 12 noon - 6 p.m. on Sunday. For security reasons, we cannot prepare merchandise that is to be picked up in advance. In most cases, your merchandise will be in the original factory packaging. If assembly is requested, there may be a nominal charge on some items. Our experienced personnel will load and secure your merchandise into your vehicle under your supervision. Hurwitz-Mintz cannot be responsible for damage in transit, or while unloading at your home.

Should your purchase require "in home" service, call our customer service department. They will make all the necessary arrangements to handle any problem.
Hurwitz Mintz Furniture will service any defects in materials or workmanship up to one year from the date of delivery. Remember, in purchasing furniture, no two pieces of fine wood furniture are identical. There are variations in grain character. In upholstered furniture, fabrics may vary slightly from one dye lot to the next. It is virtually impossible to exactly match upholstery ordered at different times, particularly if the first lot is exposed to air, light and temperature variations. Hurwitz-Mintz buys the best quality covers available but does not guarantee fabrics for cleanability, fastness of color, or wearing quality.

It is our policy to service all merchandise in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty, excluding glass and 'as-is' merchandise. Hurwitz-Mintz itself does not make or extend warranties beyond those of the manufacturer. We do not extend warranty to any merchandise that has been moved from the original delivery location. We do not offer a bedding comfort guarantee. Non-returnable merchandise includes: special orders, ready-to-assemble items, 'as-is' items and bedding. Request for return or reselection must be made within 5 days after delivery and is subject to a 25% re-stocking fee. Reselection must be made within 5 days. We charge a delivery fee on all reselections. Customers who pick up merchandise at our warehouse and later discover concealed damage have 5 days to exchange that item. These policies supercede any and all verbal representations.
